My Migraine Triggers.
I have a lot of them. I know I am not alone in not knowing ALL of them, but there are some big ones.
1. Flashing/strobe lights. Emergency Vehicles are the worst.
2. Red wine…in fact, any wine, but red is worse.
3. MSG. I love Chinese food, it doesn’t love me.
4. Soy Sauce. See above.
5. Poor sleep/insomnia. Usually this becomes a vicious cycle of my head hurts, so I can’t sleep. I can’t sleep, so my head hurts.
6. Poor body mechanics. If I mess up my back, all bets are off.
7. Sex. Yes, sex. I know, it is supposed to get rid of a headache, it doesn’t. It sucks.
Those are the biggies…but there are more, I am sure.
