I just realized it is 2/3 of the way thru May and I haven’t blogged at all. I bet you are wondering where I have been. There is a one word answer to that: Busy.
My DH is getting ready to race Memorial Day weekend, so there is a lot to get done. Additionally, I have been sewing up a storm; I got a new serger and it is LOVELY! I made some great hanging towels, an idea I got from Pinterest. I have more to make, I will share some photos then. I also made a vintage inspired green gingham skirt inspired by this pin on Pinterest. I have enough fabric leftover to make a matching skirt for E. I am excited to try out a this new gathering technique I spotted on Pinterest. I think it will work wonderfully!
Last weekend on Mothers’ Day, after my sweet little Belle brought be breakfast in bed, she and I went and took engagement photos for my friend A’s daughter Charli. Charli is marrying a great guy who has 3 children. They choose to include the kids in their photos. Here are some of my favorites.
Also new for me is that I am now the editor of the Tonneau. What is the Tonneau? The Tonneau is the official publication of the Land O’ Lakes Region SCCA. In March, Kathy asked if I was willing to do it and I accepted. For whatever, strange reason, I enjoy the design and writing aspects of it. The first issue I made was a print copy (April 2012) and the second is an electronic version (May 2012).
In addition to being the editor of the Tonneau, last month I was appointed to the Board of Directors for Land O’ Lakes region. I am happy to serve our region again.
