Sofa Redo

When we originally moved out of apartment life and into a house, we purchased a living room set. The four piece set is now, shall we say, well loved. The arm on the couch is worn out from Bailey sitting on it and climbing on it to get to the window at the old house. To put it gently, it looks like crap.

Before…not very pretty!

A trip to Bed, Bath and Beyond (and a couple of 20% off coupons) and I had stretch slipcovers.

With the new slipcover

TA DA!!! Much nicer, and now I can throw the covers in the washing machine as needed. We found the stretch slipcovers to work much better than the ones that you can tie.

Now to scour Pinterest and make some pretty decorative pillows for our “new” living room set. Plus recover the ottoman.

One of the things that I am working very hard at since we moved is staying on top of housework. It is a challenge. Frankly, I am not very good at it. I am working at it, though. Not only have I been trying to keep up on laundry, but I have even been putting it away! Crazy, huh?

Well, it is back to work for this lady…
