Where I’ve been…

It has been too long since I updated, but with what I think is a decent reason…we are moving!

We are super excited. Things came together to allow us to move closer to dear hubby’s family (and a little closer to mine as well). After a lot of prayer and thought, we decided it would be best for us. Plus, the kiddos will be in a better school district. Bonus!

We have spent a lot of time packing and getting ready to move. Our house looks like a liquor store thanks to Mama V. If you ever find yourself needing boxes, stop by your local liquor store. Not only do they have an abundance of boxes, but they are sturdy ones, too. Here’s a great tip: break the boxes down so they will lay flat. This means you can get a ton in your car. Simply tape the bottoms and presto! You have sturdy boxes for packing.

On top of the move, I took photos for Miss C’s wedding and have been trying to get them all edited. I got to spend a fantastic day with my friend K and her two sweet boys at the zoo. I took photos for my friend J and her beautiful family.

On Sunday, I got home from my annual pilgrimage to Rocky Point, a fish camp my parents own. It was an amazing trip, as always. The kiddos stayed with grandma and grandpa for the week. I hear they are having a blast! Bailey Girl, our 4 legged daughter (lab-springer mix) was going to stay as well, but I noticed she didn’t seem to be herself. She was obviously in a lot of pain, so she came hone with me.

Unfortunately, we learned on Monday that our sweet Bailey Girl has ankylosing spondylitis. According to our vet, there is no treatment, only palliative care. It breaks my heart. We have made a promise not to let her suffer. We love her too much.

On that note, I will end this post.
