Foodventure 2012

Let the foodventure begin. My DH and I are adventuring with our friends M&M to Milwaukee and Chicago.

So far we had blah donuts in white bear lake, mn. Then we stopped for fuel about 20 miles out from Milwaukee and got awesome garlic and onion pickles and fresh muenster cheese curds. Yum.

More foodie adventures to come. We are in DT Milwaukee looking for good eats.

The Dog Haus on Brady Street had excellent Italian beef and the Chicago dog was good too!

Next stop Zaffinos on Front St for the everything pizza, half with no anchovies. Next time, no anchovies. It was good pizza, very thin crust and yummy toppings (except the anchovies).

Now on to Usingers sausage. I wonder what we shall find. Unfortunately, nothing there for us to enjoy…we were expecting more like Kamarcuks in nordeast Minneapolis.

Now at the Milwaukee public market. Our first endeavor was Manapoua, a delicious sweet bread stuffed with BBQ pork. Yum!

Next is poutine from a cheese shop, made with all natural stock and no chance of MSG. Yay! It was delicious.
